 Actress Rachel Bloom took home the award for Best Actress in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy at the 2016 Golden Globes for her role as Rebecca Bunch in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

 The 28-year-old actress is fairly new to the Hollywood scene, and told ABC News after she was nominated for the award that she was "just so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for putting [her] on the map in [her] career."

Bloom beat out veterans such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gina Rodriguez and Lily Tomlin for this year's Golden Globe award. The comedian told ABC News that her nomination was "surreal, which is the way it should be

 She's a Triple-Threat

Bloom is not only the star of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," she also is the writer and creator of the show. In her acceptance speech she noted that she "almost didn’t have a show,” because it kept getting rejected by networks. "We got six rejections in one day and we felt like crap but we knew it was good,” Bloom said

 She's on Forbes 30 Under 30

Bloom was recently named one of Forbes' "30 Under 30" for 2016. The comedienne is in the company of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actors John Boyega and Alicia Vikander for their influence in the entertainment industry this year
