This year, for instance, Friendly's Restaurants are once again treating veterans and active military alike to a free breakfast, lunch, or dinner on Friday
The breakfast option will be Friendly's "Big-To-Do," a mix-and-match affair that features combinations of pancakes, French toast, and eggs. Coffee or tea is also included
At lunch and dinner honorees can enjoy a complimentary All-American Burger with fries and a beverage

Meanwhile, Applebee's is offering veterans and active duty military a free meal from a limited menu, on Friday
Veterans get a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake on Friday at Cracker Barrel, while active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on Friday, 5 a.m. to noon, at Denny's
