Upset Jadeveon Clowney left stadium when ruled out with injury

Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who is inactive for Saturday’s wild-card

 game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a foot injury, stormed out of the locker room and left the stadium when he heard he had been ruled out, according to reports 

The news came as an apparent shock to Clowney, who thought he was healthy enough to play 

John McClain of The Houston Chronicle reports that Clowney left the stadium to deliver tickets to his family, and that despite his “questionable” tag all week, he was aware he would not play back on Wednesday. He later returned 

Regardless of Clowney’s reason for leaving the stadium, he is allowed to do so as an inactive player.

Clowney sustained the injury during a 34–6 win over the Titans in Week 16 and did not play in the team’s division-clinching win over the Jaguars in Week 17. He was limited in practice on Thursday and missed the team’s walkthrough on Friday

The No. 1 pick in the 2014 draft played in 13 games this season after seeing action in just four last year due to a knee injury. He recorded 40 tackles and forced one fumble
